Gamers have very strange attitudes towards porn and masturbation. Gamer, “Strong Man”, thinks porn and masturbation are problematic at a biological level in addition to being against the Bible. (Of course, we’re supposed to believe him, a gamer, over reputable scientific and medical authorities.) Ferdinand Bardamu is on some sort of anti-masturbation quest for reasons that don’t make sense. Obsidian actually claims that because of game he’s hasn’t masturbated since high school. Is anyone stupid enough to believe that? Obsidian is in his early 40s which means that he is saying that he hasn’t masturbated for 25 years. If that is true, then he is impotent, and everything he has ever said is a lie. (Even if he’s not impotent, everything Obsidian has said is probably a lie regardless.)
Why are gamers against porn and masturbation? Why would a gamer lie that he hasn’t had to masturbate in 25 years? The first reason is bragging, specifically bragging about they don’t “need” to masturbate since because they are getting laid so much. (In reality, gamers aren’t getting laid that much or else they wouldn’t have time to write voluminous posts on blogs.) The second reason is because of all gamers running a scam trying to sell you something. The game scammers go after any and all “competition” against game. Porn and masturbation are competitiors to game. If you’re using porn and/or masturbating (or going to hookers), then you have no need of “game products” like Athol Kay’s book or game conventions. It’s all about the money. If you’re spending money on hookers or porn or getting porn for free or masturbating which is free, then you aren’t spending money on game. Since masturbation is free, porn is easily available on the internet for free, gamers have to attack porn and masturbation in a bizarre fashion. They effectively have to claim porn and masturbation are “unholy” because they can’t beat the price of free. With game so much of it comes down to the money, and this case is no different.
