YBM and The Real Peterman let us know that Mark Minter, a prolific commenter in the so called manosphere, known for his strong stance against marriage has decided to get married. On top of that Mark Minter is getting married to a single mother. Obviously, the so called manosphere is attacking Minter as a phony given his previous anti-marriage stance.
Minter is trying to defend this as a “validation of game” and different than just getting married because his fiance is a “red pill woman” that comments on Heartiste. Both of those are wrong. She may be younger than him, but she’s still a single mother. If game really existed, then Minter should have been able to get a woman who doesn’t have any kids. Also, there is no difference between a “red pill woman” and a “blue pill woman”. What happened here is that Minter’s fiance hit her 30s with a kid in tow and realized that she had no options. (Likely, she is a “former” slut.) Just when it’s most beneficial to her, she “discovers” the red pill. Minter’s fiance isn’t the only “red pill woman” to have such a background. Most women in the manosphere have such a history of being a “former” slut (usually without the kid) and “discovered” the red pill right when their slut lifestyle started running into problems. In other words, the entire idea of the “red pill woman” is a scam, and there is no difference between a “blue pill woman” and a “red pill woman”. (This is a subject I will write about more extensively at a later time.)
So what happened to Mark Minter? He didn’t just get married after being a stalwart against marriage. He married a single mother. Only he knows, but one possibility (assuming that he didn’t troll the manosphere or something like that) is that he came to the realization that the so called manosphere is insane and ran back to his old life (in a manner of speaking). A few months ago Minter had a problem with a Return of Court Jesters had an article about how Obamacare mandated that everyone have a RFID chip in them and that this was going to lead to the mark of the beast in the Book of Revelations in the Bible. (This is completely false.) This is something that I suspect happens to a lot of the men who vanished from the so called manosphere or suffer from so called “player burnout”. These men come across some aspect of the manosphere that is too insane for them which causes them to run back to their old (likely feminist derived) ideology because it appears sane in comparison. Minter just chose a way of dealing with this that didn’t involve vanishing (at least not right away) or coming up with a contrived explanation like “player burnout”.
I don’t know what will happen next, but my guess is that Minter will use the ensuing criticism to exit the so called manosphere completely. After that, in a few months no one in the so called manosphere will remember who Mark Minter was, just as they “don’t remember” the University of Man and all of the other blogs that got deleted after the Great Manosphere Meetup of Doom.

A bigger critique of the MRM is that they seem to be a parody of feminism…
My gut instinct is that things that worked for feminist’s-ie the victim card and biting sarcasm/shaming (ala Fraudtrelle, Mandy Marcrappy, Huggs Skeezer) will not work for Men’s Rights.
I believe that much of the rhetoric used by “alpha’s” such as Elam and JTO actually alienate many men who would be sympathetic to issues they claim to care about.
This makes me wonder how much of Typhon Blue’s “conversion” (just like the conversion of “red pill women”) was really just seeing which direction the wind was blowing. If so, the difference between TB and the “red pill women” is that TB is smarter because faking support of the MRM makes her look more pro-male than the “red pill women”. The other side of that is that maintaining the pretense of being a pro-male woman in the MRM is more difficult than being a “red pill woman”.
This does make me think that the “red pill women” are a good thing in one sense. It acts as a honeypot for all the women that would otherwise pretend to be female MRAs when they realize what direction the wind is blowing. This is one less problem for the MRM to deal with.
The MRM isn’t synonymous with Paul Elam. When I think of the MRM, I think of Stephen Baskerville, Fathers&Families/Glenn Sacks, NCFM, Mens Rights Edmonton etc., in other words real world MRAs and MR organizations.
I probably should’ve said the AVfM brand of MRM, I suppose the Innocence Project is even a Men’s Right’s organization…
I got really upset over a Genderratic thread awhile back. Typhon Blue seemed willing to throw certain groups of men under the bus in a manner similar to Futrelle/Schwyzer/Marcotte. I suppose many people would say I was overreacting or even misreading the thread, but I literally felt like I was punched in the stomach.
I’m being a bit cryptic, that’s not my intent but this is something that I find difficult to talk about yet core to why MGTOW is by far the best strategy I have been presented with.
Without seeing the thread, I don’t know if you were overreacting or not in that particular case. However, I have noticed that for a lot of women in the MRM or in the so called manosphere that the aren’t interested in men’s rights, but some men’s rights. In other words they only cared about the rights of men they found attractive. Those of us who they don’t find attractive can just die as far as they’re concerned.
This represents a real problem for the MRM in having female members since men’s rights means all men not just a subset of men.

As much as I hate to admit it because I hate the guy so much, but manboobz recent posts on Minter shed a lot more light on the controversy by sharing some info about Minter’s wife. If “game” is supposed to help you improve and upgrade the type of women you get, this is the biggest anti-endorsement you can get. Minter’s wife, while I can’t comment on her character or anything else, at least seems sane. This new girl Kate is an avid Roissy commenter, comments on blogs all over the manosphere, and enjoys Firepower to the point where she actually is a regular contributing co-writer on his blog. So game gets you an engagement to a Roissy and Firepower fan whose own family is trying to get her professional psychological help?
I just don’t get this blog.
Its main purpose seems to be to criticize PUAs and Red Pill Theory, but it really doesn’t offer anything substantive to help the “omega virgin” man. There really isn’t even any Red Pill cultural critiques but just endless complaints about what other Red Pillers are writing on the web.
